I just wanted to thank you and all the people involved in the 100 Mile Club. Since it started I have been 100%
for it. I think it is wonderful to get our kids to exercise and get rewarded for it not just in health. But, to
be recognized by a certificate. My son Daniel Robbins, was one that was chosen to represent Sierra Vista Elementary
School. It met so much to him and his self esteem. So thank you and God Bless. ~Sue Robbins (a very proud
mother) I
was under the 11 minutes (cutoff for CA PFT 1 mile run) by 30 seconds. I have NEVER ever gotten close. When I did it the 1st time
I was at 18 minutes. Last year when I started 100 Miles I cut it down to 14, which was tough and now I passed!!!! Thank you
for starting 100 Mile Club! ~Celina, 7th Grade Student
This club is really motivating the clients to MOVE…and I love to hear
them encouraging the staff to move as well. Everyone of my 75 milers wear their bracelet ..the hats are very popular
too, but the BRACELET! Those are the coveted items. This club is just GREAT!
~Colleen Keehan, PEPPERMINT RIDGE Activities Coordinator
I just wanted to share with you
that The 100 mile Club is running beautifully. This morning as I came through I saw parents and students running, together.
Wow! ~Nicole, Resource Specialist
I'm
training for my second Breast Cancer 3-Day in San Diego this winter and have some marathons planned, too. When I started training
last year, walking around the block two or three times was a challenge. What a thrill it was to accomplish the BC3-D last
November and the LA Marathon in March just by walking out the door and putting one foot in front of the other! I can imagine
how happy your club members must be, especially in this day of almost complete inactivity, unwalkable cities and communities
and rampant obesity. They're doing something so good for themselves and can lead their families by example.
This is a great project for so many reasons. Thanks for showing these folks how much fun it is to move!

it's hard. It really teaches you that if you work hard and try your best, you can do anything! I know some people who
couldn't walk across a room without tripping. But they can make 100 miles just like I can if we really try. This just
shows that with lots of effort and encouraging, we can do anything. Do you know why? Because we're all in this together!
And when we stand together, anything is possible and I mean anything! 100 mile club, you rock! ROCK ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ~Remaya C., McKinley School
I love to run and I have run 25 miles so far this year. ~Alyssa J., McKinley School
I've watched this program
grow from a small classroom effort to get kids believing in themselves to a bona fide educational program of district, state,
and soon to be national importance. Even after all these years, I am awed. If I can get even one program up and running that
has half the significance that 100 Mile Club already has had in so many people's lives, I will consider my career in education
to have been a success. I mean it.

We
are two weeks into it and it is doing amazing things with student and staff morale. We are all united behind our common
goal. We have teachers walking before school, during school, and after school. On Friday we did a school wide
count of miles and it was over 2,500 miles. We made an announcement and told the kids that that was the distance from
Corona, CA to Orlando, Florida. It has made all our students so motivated to get out there. ~Tricia and Sue, Stallings Elementary Coaches
...the 100 Mile Club was a success at Superior Sr High school
Special Needs Dept. They are on board for the future. I have had some other schools in the district asking about it
also, so you may hear from them as well. HURRAH!! Dawn Karlon, Lifestyle Pilates, Superior, WI
LOVE
the idea, the concept. and the impact this is having on my team of students this year. It takes the feeling of our team being
a "family" to a whole new level! Since December 16, our team of 47 people have run/walked 3500 miles -
not bad considering we had to contend with a NE Ohio winter :) We figured it out - that is about 63,000 laps around
our gym! (we meet there in the mornings and sometimes at recess and after school - 18 laps=1mile) We are so darn
proud of our kids! ~Coach Drake, Lakeview Intermediate, Stow, OH
Vail Ranch placed in the top two in four of the six team divisions at the Bobcat Invitational,
mostly due to your 100 mile program, we sent 71 students and half of them received awards. Thanks for making me look sooooo
good. ~Mr. White, Head Coach
I loved seeing (my Kindergarten granddaughter) running
with her friend while holding hands. She came by and gave me a high-5 and kept running. Very
cool.
~Tom, Proud Grandpa
"I love the 100 Mile Club! My son has thrived as he's participated in it, offering him focus, goal-setting, increased confidence and some great exercise.
In a school system with budget cuts and many activities going
by the wayside, this has been a simple and very effective additionto
the normal school day. I'd recommend it to any teacher considering it for his/her classroom. My hope is that my younger children will be able to participate in it when they're older." ~ BJ Walker, McKinley Elementary,
Corona, CA
I love 100 mile club because you get exercise and also it makes you calm down. I also like it because u
can walk and run all u want until your teacher calls you in. That's why I love 100 mile club. It is my favorite thing
to do in school.

100 Mile Club Participant
I just wanted you to know that 43 kids have hit
25 miles and 9 have hit 50. I am amazed. That is in a little over a month. They are out there every Tuesday,
Wednesday and Thursday running their little hearts out. This has been a great thing for our kids and teachers. Thank you... ~Ms.
